The LIBRARIAN MOLLY website is committed to helping educators, librarians, parents, and students find books and resources to help foster independent reading and learning. With a focus on literature for children and young adults, the goal is that the information here will play a small part in developing lifelong readers who engage with the magic of stories.

Molly’s nose has been in a book since she was old enough to hold one, so she naturally became a librarian. After studying English Literature at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!), Molly discovered a passion for youth literature and connecting with young people through books, so she went on to earn an MLIS degree from Kent State University.

Molly has worked professionally as a youth librarian in a public library, a middle school librarian and digital media teacher, and a high school librarian. Taking some time away from a library setting at the moment, Molly now uses her experience to connect with booksellers, teachers, and other librarians as a youth literature consultant while also working as a freelance writer and editor.

You will often still find Molly’s nose in a book today. But, if she’s not reading or writing, she’s belatedly catching up on tv shows or talking about Star Wars. Molly lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and three young children.
